The Polycom HDX 8000 - 1080 is a flexible and robust high-definition visual communication solution for conference rooms, classrooms or other meeting environments like distance education, remote medical diagnosis or project collaboration.
Polycom HDX 8000 - 1080 includes codec, EagleEye 1080 camera, People+Content and People on Content. System is 1080p30 and 720p60 capable, with a 6M line rate.
Additional multipoint option for 4-way HD capability is available.
The Polycom HDX 8000 features four video inputs and three video outputs for dual monitors and a VCR.
The clarity of the Polycom HDX 8000 enables users to interact via video freely and naturally, and with embedded multipoint and content-sharing capabilities, remote team members can quickly and easily be brought together collaborate on projects.
Designed to high-definition standards, Polycom HDX 8000 systems utilize Polycom HD Voice technology to convey distortion-free voices and sounds, while Polycom StereoSurround audio technology separates room sounds into left and right channels, giving an immediate sense of the physical location of opposite-end participants.
The Polycom HDX 8000 allows users to display rich-media content and data easily, enhancing collaboration and audience participation. Utilizing this system in tandem with the Polycom People On Content collaboration technology, presenters can insert their video images into projected content to explain key elements more clearly.
The Polycom HDX 8000 can be seamlessly integrated with the Polycom RMX 1000 or RMX 2000 conference platforms, Polycom Converged Management Application 5000 for management and scheduling, or the Polycom Soundstation IP 7000 conference phone for an integrated voice and video experience.
The Polycom HDX 8000 features a people video resolution of 720p, 60fps at 1.2 Kbps to 6 Mbps and a content resolution up to 720p and 4SIF (704 x 480)/4CIF (704 x 576) at 256 Kbps to 784 Kbps. It supports the H.264, H.263++. H.261 and H.239 protocols.
The system includes a Polycom EagleEye HD camera and one HDX mic array. It can support two additional mic arrays.
New Polycom HDX 8000 systems require the purchase of a one-year manufacturer service agreement with Polycom. This plan includes next day parts replacement, 24x7 technical support, software upgrades and updates, and user training.
