Lens Attachments

General Viewing Lens

The General Viewing attachment for the Horus Scope system is used to meet a variety of needs that require wider angle views of the body.  This attachment has built-in LED technology providing excellent illumination and color reproduction.  Some common uses for this optical lens would be wide angle views of burns, viewing the teeth and mouth, and any other areas of the body that a basic examination may be required.

Otoscope Attachment

The otoscope attachment is used for viewing images of the tympanic membrane and auditory canal. This attachment has built-in LED technology providing excellent illumination and color reproduction. It is designed to use a variety of ear specula including Heine and Welch-Allyn both in adult and pediatric sizes. The otoscope also has the capability of doing Pneumotoscopy and has an insufflator bulb included.

Anterior Chamber Lens

The Anterior Chamber attachment is used for viewing cornea, anterior segment, and scleral areas of the eye. The lens incorporates standard LED and cobalt blue light, often referred to as a woods lamp, for viewing corneal defects. This lens gives the user a highly magnified, high-resolution of the anterior segment.

Dental Lens

The dental lens attachment for the Horus Scope system is used for viewing the oral cavity and teeth. This attachment has built-in LED technology providing excellent illumination and color reproduction.  It is designed to use a disposable mirror (sold separately) which is disposed of after each patient. The lens rotates 360 degrees so proper orientation can always be maintained.

Fundus/Ophthalmoscope Lens

The ophthalmic attachment is used to capture images of the fundus including the optic nerve. This attachment uses both IR and LED technology to easily capture images without the requirement of dilation. By utilizing both of these technologies, the Horus Scope provides crisp, clear images of the fundus, and the images are very easy to capture. In addition, the scope provides a 40-degree field of view of the fundus giving the clinician a large field of view with which to examine.
